A Friendly, Professional Shutter Survey

During the survey, we will:

  • Take precise measurements of your windows to ensure your shutters fit perfectly

  • Bring material and design samples so you can see the quality and finishes in person

  • Talk you through the different styles of shutters (full height, café style, tier-on-tier, and more) to help you find the right match for your home

After the visit, we’ll email you a detailed proposal along with design drawings. This gives you a clear visual of how your new shutters will look. Importantly, you are under no obligation to make any decisions or payments during the survey — it’s simply about helping you make an informed choice.

Requesting an Estimate Before a Survey

If you’d prefer to get an idea of costs before booking a home survey, you’re very welcome to send us your own window measurements. We can provide an initial estimate based on these figures, so you know roughly what to expect. The in-person survey will then ensure complete accuracy and give you the chance to explore samples and designs in detail.

Preparing for Your Appointment

To make the survey as smooth and efficient as possible, we kindly ask that you:

  • Ensure your windows are fully accessible

  • Clear your window sills of any ornaments, blinds, or plants

This allows us to take accurate measurements for ordering purposes.

Complete Window Work Before Your Survey

One important point to consider before booking a survey is whether you’re planning any window replacements, reveal renovations, or sill alterations. Because shutters are made-to-measure, every millimetre matters — and the measurements we take at your survey are used to create your custom shutters.

🔔 Important Notice - If any changes are made after your shutters are ordered (such as replacing windows, plastering, re-plastering, decorating, or altering sills), your shutters may no longer fit correctly. In this case, they would need to be completely reordered at your own expense. For more details, please refer to our Terms and Conditions.

Shutter Delivery Times

We work with both international and UK shutter manufacturers to provide options for every customer:

  • International shutters: Delivery is typically 12–14 weeks. In some cases, they may arrive sooner, though delays are possible. We also offer a faster delivery option by train (9–11 weeks) at an additional cost per square metre (excluding delays around Chinese New Year).

  • UK-manufactured shutters: Delivered in 4–5 weeks. These are quicker but limited to PVC or vinyl shutters with fewer design choices.

    *Due to the unpredictable nature of international delivery, lead times are estimated and cannot be guaranteed.
